His eyes – how they twinkled! his dimples how merry, His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry; His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
I love these words describing Santa Clause as joyful and cheery! He enjoys his work and loves blessing all the little children with special surprises on Christmas morning!
As Christians, we should strive to reflect the goodness and love of Christ and have an attitude of praise and joy all day long, with a countenance like Santa’s!
This is often challenging for mom when homeschooling days are long, the kids are fighting, and hiding in the closet sounds like a good plan.
It is challenging for the kids when math is too hard, history is boring, everyone is annoying, and hiding in the closet sounds like a good plan.
So how do we change our mindset and refocus on God instead of our challenges?
Psalm 150:1-6 Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! …
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.
These verses redirect our mind to the goodness and “mighty deeds” of the Lord. We are encouraged to respond with enthusiastic praise because of his divine nature.
We want to sing about his “excellent greatness,” and the stress of the day takes its rightful place in the back seat of our mind.
These daily challenges also allow us to repent and turn from our sinful responses to Godly responses.
Growing in the Lord in this way is hard work, and our spiritual muscles can feel weak. Daily practice makes them stronger and stronger, so stay in the Word and continue to do the hard work of renewing your mind:
Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
This transformation will show up on your face as twinkling eyes and a glowing complexion from the smiles you wear no matter the circumstances!

I love it because you can write a Bible verse on the inside or send a note to a friend.
It could even be a great place for some Christmas copywork!
This cute little fella will be easy to replicate. I appreciate the Santa hat sitting off to the side!
Don’t forget to stock up cotton balls for this guy!
Paint, crayons, or felt tip markers will work great!
Won’t it be fun to make this cute face out of colored construction paper (or just drawn on paper with markers) and create the beard and fur with popped corn?
Sounds like a snack and a craft all rolled into one!
I love it!
This is a variation of the second Santa using curled paper for the beard rather than cotton balls.
I thought this was just the song, but it is the whole show, “Santa Clause is Coming to Town”!
